Optometrist
Mitchell H. Albers, OD joined the Eye Care Center professional staff in 2001 and became a partner in the practice in 2002. Originally from Bismarck, ND, Dr. Albers received his bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1999 from Pacific University in Oregon. While in optometry school, he was a member of the Beta-Sigma-Kappa optometric honor society for academic excellence.
Clinically he has a special interest in contact lenses, including multifocal and specialty contact lenses, treating dry eye and all types of eye disease, and myopia control (slowing advancing nearsightedness). Dr. Albers is an active member of the Minnesota Optometric Association and a member of the American Optometric Association. He cherishes being able to connect and build a relationship with each patient, listening to their concerns and helping them make informed decisions about their eye care needs.
He resides with his wife, Kristi and their two daughters in Mahtomedi. In his free time, he enjoys golf and all types of sports. He loves to root for Golden Gopher football and is a big auto racing fan.
